Perish Priest is author, Richard Baldwin’s 18th cozy mystery. Father Dunkel is shot at the beginning of Mass at St. Joseph’s church in Mesick, located in the northwest portion of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. Who would commit such a horrible crime? Terrorists, disgruntled members of the parish, someone mentally ill, or perhaps a student of his when he was a physics professor before leaving academia for the priesthood. Private detective, Lou Searing of Grand Haven, Michigan is called in to assist law enforcement in solving the crime. Once again, Baldwin provides what readers have come to expect, a most entertaining story with drama, suspense and a few twists and turns.
